Short Film Competition

We are looking for a short to screen before our summer showing of Jaws at a spectacular canalside location in July. We are running a competition open to everyone to make a film. You may be an experienced film maker with some sexy equipment in search of a new project or a child making a film on a phone about your toy shark. We are looking for something that will work for our audience in an outdoor setting before Spielberg’s iconic feature. Everything else is up to you.

By entering you get the chance to win two free tickets to our summer screening and free membership to our club for a year. You’ll get the chance to screen your work to others. And you will win our prestigious ‘Golden Tea Leaf’ award-a cheeky reference to the thieving that has gone on in Cannes this year. Forget the Palme D’Or. The jury prize has nothing on us.

Entries must be on DVD and playable on a standard DVD player. DO NOT SEND US YOUR ONLY COPY. We are not specifying a maximum or minimum length but be aware that your film will be screened as a short before a feature and keep this in mind when determining running time. By applying you are giving us permission to screen your work publicly. Your work should not have been screened publicly previously. DVDs will not be returned unless you provide return postage. Any questions? Get in touch in the usual ways….
