Chain of Fools

In the space of a week we’ve gone from the original “Cape Fear” to Disney classic “The Jungle Book” via Sergei Eisenstein, Terry Gilliam and James Bond…(if you missed how we got to the Jungle Book, check out the comments on the last post.)

The mop-top vultures in the film were voiced by the Beatles, which inevitably led us to The Magical Mystery Tour (thanks, Mike!) and this is where we take off again into the unknown.

So, in the words of the Jungle Book vultures, “What are we going to do now, then?”

Over to you….

The 39 steps in one simple link – would you believe. It must be a plot…line.

Oh blimey, I have absolutely no idea. Simple, you say? All I can think of is the London Palladium and that can’t be it…

Did I say simple. I meant single. Magical Mystery Tour is such a mess of a movie and I haven’t seen it yet. I picked a link from behind the camera and deliberately looked at something off the plot-lines post today. With 32 years between the films the link changed jobs.. more if you need it later.

Left this for a few days and come back still scratching my head. The answer: I have no idea. A week off work and half term hols has turned my brain to mince! So I’m looking forward to kicking myself at your reply…..

I have tried three times to post again here so here goes again. Bernard Knowles is the link as he was the cinematographer on 39 steps and the director of Magical Mystery Tour that was not a Beatle. I now suggest as I am the only one still on this that the next link be Tulpan. I think the link is obvious – I may be proven wrong. I don’t think people should wait to find out the reason for the link and just go for the next one. If there is any need for counting or a referee to step in you would be up to it. Give me a deadline if I am wrong about how easy this one is. By the way – everyone should see this film – a truly engaging love story set in Kazakhstan.

  6. Mike, you have a truly twisted mind (I am happy to say)
Excellent link. Where in the world will this go next….
