Secret cinema showing

We will be screening Kind Hearts and Coronets on Thursday 2 June at a secret venue in Nether Edge. Meet at the Old Junior School at 7pm in your best Victorian outfit, and we’ll take a short walk to the venue.

Come back in time to 1868 – smoking jackets, intrigue in the parlour and tea on the lawn.

In this classic Ealing comedy, a distant poor relative of the Duke of D’Ascoyne plots to inherit the title by murdering the eight other heirs who stand ahead of him in the line of succession.

Alec Guinness famously plays all members of the D’Ascoyne family. Although made over 60 years ago and set in Victorian times, this film hasn’t dated and is an essential watch.
